Поем 110-у песню «Barbra Streisand and Celine Dion - Tell Him». Очень хорошая песня, поют две великие певицы Америки. Это дуэт Barbra Streisand и Celine Dion. Песня очень интересна сама по себе. Молоденькая девчонка влюбилась и пришла к более старшей разобраться как же ей теперь себя вести. И та ее начинает учить, как это надежнее ему голову свернуть.

Friends, нам, естественно, не сравняться с ними в вокальных возможностях. И не нужно нам это делать. Наша задача другая: слушать как они произносят, и гордиться тем, что мы можем понять о чем они поют. Я видел их запись, когда они записывали эту песню. Там все балдели лежали. И они балдели. То есть, просто видно было, что они растворяются в этой музыке.

(Ст.) А reach out – это «прикасаться»?

(Пр.) На самом деле нет. Reach – это «дотягиваться», а out – это как бы вот протяни от себя к нему руку.

(Ст.) А «богатый» произносится так же?

(Пр.) Произносится коротко и пишется по-другому. Rich [rɪtʃ] – богатый; reach [ri:tʃ] – дотягиваться.

(Ст.) А почему перед moon нет определенного артикля?

(Пр.) Потому что the стоит перед sun. И оно сработало как однородные члены предложения один раз. Более того, если бы они попытались поставить перед moon, они бы нарушили стихотворный размер этой песни. А кому это надо? Мы же с вами знаем, что в песнях грамматика подчиняется более важному моменту – чтобы это было складненько.
